Ha’il Region is a region located in northern Saudi Arabia. In the region, there are two sites that house petroglyphs depicting the history of the Arabian Peninsula. They are Jubbah and Shuwaymis. The process of creating the petroglyphs dated back to Mesolithic 10,000 years ago and lasted for several thousand years.

On 13th January 1902, Abdul-Aziz from the House of Saud led his army to recapture Riyadh by conquering the Masmak Fort overnight. The recapture became a crucial starting point for Ibn Saud in unifying Najd, Hejaz and “The Holy City of Mecca”, finally the whole Saudi Arabia.
