【Calm and Natural 】A history of over 1600 years: Huizhou West Lake

When we talk about West Lake, the West Lake in Hangzhou must be the first image that comes to your mind. Have you imagined that Huizhou also has its West Lake? Calling it Huizhou West Lake has a ground. In fact, it is endorsed by Su Dongpo. There are three West Lakes in China, located namely in Huizhou, Hangzhou and Yingzhou. The famous poet Su Dongpo visited all the West Lakes, with Huizhou and Hangzhou being the places where he served as a bureaucrat. In one of his poems, Feng Lake was renamed as West Lake.

To make things more convenient for the local people, Su ordered the building of Xixin Bridge, which is as beautiful as Su Causeway in Hangzhou. Sizhou Pagoda in Huizhou West Lake is also as exquisite as its counterpart in Hangzhou - Leifeng Pagoda. That was why Su buried her beloved concubine, Wang Zhaoyun, beneath the Sizhou Pagoda. Su later established Liuru Pavilion, which serves as a symbol of their love.
