[Cultural experience in the Greater Bay Area] City of culture: Zhuhai

Zhuhai is the only Mainland China city connected to Hong Kong and Macao by land. One of the cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-and-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), Zhuhai is located in the south of Guangdong Province and borders Zhongshan City to the north. Having 262 islands of all sizes, it is also known as the Hundred Island City.

The Zhuhai LETS Cultural District, a perfect place for hipsters

Longing for an impulse trip to feel recharged again? Not only does Zhuhai connect Hong Kong and Macao, but it is also the distinctive cultural city of the GBA, ideal for a short break from the hustle and bustle. After visiting Zhuhai, you can also enjoy the flexibility that Zhuhai offers and travel to Macao by land transport!

Converted from old factory buildings, the Zhuhai LETS Cultural District has many hipster coffee shops and instagrammable spots and exhibitions, theatre performances, concerts, handicraft workshops, etc. It is a complex of the creative industry.

Zhuhai Grand Theater, a must-see artsy landmark for couples

To see how the arts blossom, one should visit Zhuhai Grand Theatre, the new landmark of art and culture in Zhuhai. Situated on Wild Beaver Island, the Grand Theatre bases its unique design on the precious marine creature "Asia Moon scallop shell ". The theatre encompasses art, shopping, leisure, and entertainment. The lights of the Grand Theater dazzle on a moonlit night, offering the best backdrop for a romantic date.

What is the point of travelling without a few good delicacies to enjoy? Zhuhai is a GBA city with national high-quality water to nurture a variety of seafood. Hengqin Island, located at the estuarine mixing zone between the river and the ocean, is surrounded by the sea and has moderate water temperature. That's why the island is famous for its umami-rich oysters! Don't forget to visit Zhuhai Wanzai Seafood Street at night to taste the fresh and creamy Zhuhai crab, together with an assortment of dishes like "Crab Roe and Meat in Hairy Mellow", "Stir-Fried Crab Meat with Fish Maw" and "Steamed Crab", marking a perfect ending note for your daycation in Zhuhai.
