Africa's Hidden Secrets - Mozambique

The past year has seen a surge in tourists travelling to Africa, with air travel on the continent approaching pre-outbreak levels. Safari camps from South Africa to Kenya are fully booked, and visitors are staying well beyond peak season in popular destinations such as Cape Town and Zanzibar. In addition to the well-known African tourist attractions, GreaterGo will introduce our readers, a niche African hideaway, Mozambique.

Mozambique with its pristine coastline and wildlife parks, you can not only experience the exotic atmosphere of the Portuguese colonial period when commercial transactions flourished, but also drift on the beautiful sea on the Arabian sailing ship "Dau".

Bazaruto National Park in Mozambique is a favourite destination for divers from all over the world, with high water clarity and abundant marine life. It is a great place for snorkelling enthusiasts. You can also see colourful corals and interact with sea turtles. Humpback whales may appear around Bazaruto National Park around August and you will see this amazing spectacle.

For wildlife, don't miss Maputo National Park. This national park consists of plains, swamps, grasslands, mountains and coastal dune forests along with white sandy beaches and turquoise blue seas.
The National Park is also one of the most biodiverse areas in the world, with an ever-increasing number and diversity of wildlife, including rare and endangered species. These include +400 African statues, birds (kingfishers, fish eagles, etc.), zebras, antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, deer (red deer, suni, reeve antelope, and steenbok), and many more.
